Last month, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen because of the holidays which is good because I was able to try more recipes and was able to learn few kitchen skills, lol. And finally, I learned how to prepare Puto. At least once in a month, we prepare Puto (Steamed Rice Cake) for the family. It is one of the traditional merienda (afternoon snack) and also almusal (breakfast) we keep in the family.
It is usually my grand mom who prepares for everyone but they challenged me to do it. I am just glad the taste came out as great as my grand mom's but presentation wise, hahaha it kinda doesn't look as nice as her's.
1 kg of flour
1 pack of baking soda
4 tbsp of margarine
