How to Spice Up a Blank Wall

I have some blank walls at home and I have been looking for ways on how to spice it up a little bit. I don't intend to bombard my walls with stuff, just at least not look dull as it is now. I currently have white painted walls but I am thinking about trying new paint, or am I just going to put wall paper instead? What wall decorations can I consider? I tried to summarize all ways to spice up a blank wall and I came up with this list:

Paint Your Wall
Choosing which color to paint your wall, it has to be something pleasant to eyes. Which colors do you think will make you feel good? A single color of wall to the entire home is a great idea if you opt for a very simple outcome. If you like a bit of cheerful vibe, different color schemes will work for you. There are wide variety of colours available in paint stores. You can choose a colour that suits your personality, or colours that tell story about you. Before you buy paint, test sample swatches on your walls and observe how the colors look at various times during the day and evening.

Wallpaper
Applying wall paper is more time consuming than painting the wall since you need to make sure that you properly dragged and trim the wall paper on the wall and smooth the bubbles out. Also, it needs quite more materials than painting. The best part is you can choose to be creative because there are many ready made wallpaper designs in the market you can choose from.

Wall Decals
This is is one fun way to personalize your room. This is also a good option if you like something temporary since it can be easily removed unlike wall papers. Installing wall decals is easy-breezy and doesn't take much time. What I like about wall decals, it is fun to apply as it makes a fun activity for the family as well.
