Moms, Have A Spa Day From The Comfort Of Your Own Home

One of my favorite things to do is go to the spa with a group of friends. Whether it’s for a special occasion or just a day out, it is always a fun and relaxing time. But when you are a busy mom, it’s not so easy to just go out for the day to the spa. After all, not only will you have to find a childminder, but then you might be away from home for hours. And on top of all this, spa days are not cheap. You could end up paying around $100 for just a day with a treatment or two. And when there is so much to pay out for your family, this cost isn’t something that you can really pay out for. However, if you can’t go to the spa, you can bring the spa to you! It’s easier and much cheaper than having to go to a center to relax. Therefore, here are some ways moms can have a spa day from the comfort of their own home.

Say ta ta to the kids
First things first, if you want a relaxing spa day at home, it’s time to get your hubby to take the kids away. After all, you are not going to be able to truly relax if you know the kids are just downstairs. In fact, you might start to wonder what they are up to, especially if you hear crashes and your husband moaning! And then you will definitely be out of your cozy state if you have to go downstairs! Therefore, see if your other half can take them to the park for a couple of hours. Or even to visit friends or relatives to keep them busy for a short time. You could even say your other half could do it as a treat for you. After all, some time on your own to conduct your spa day is the best way to spoil you! And you can promise to return the favor at a later date when your man can go out with his mates, or even have a lad’s night in!

Get out your coziest dressing gown
One of the best things about going to the spa is you get to remove all your heavy clothes and slip into a cozy dressing gown. Not only does it allow your skin to breathe, but it can relieve any tension in your body too. After all, we tend to wear tight trousers and shirts during the week which can leave us feeling uncomfortable. Therefore, slipping into a cozy dressing gown will ensure your body stays nice and relaxed. Hunt one down in the cupboard that you love and then put it on the heater for a few minutes before putting it on. After all, there’s nothing better for your body than if you slip into a warm dressing gown. And then you can relax in the gown just as if you were at the spa!

Have a relaxing bubble bath
Although you might not be lucky enough to have a pool or a jacuzzi in your home like at the spa, you can still ensure you relax in water by having a luxurious bath. Start filling the tub with water and hunt down any bath lotions and bombs that you can add to the water. After all, we tend to get a ton of bath soaks at Christmas which we never get a chance to use. Therefore, now is the time to use them to create a bath which is amazing! And make sure you check the temperature so that you don’t end up burning your skin while you are in the bath. Once it’s full, it’s time to get in and relax for at least half hour. Let your body soak in all the good stuff you have added to the bath. And you might even want to give your hair a good wash while you are soaking in the tub. After all, we normally rush to do this when we are in the shower in the morning. So while you are relaxing, you can leave in the conditioner to see the benefits to your hair once you are dry!

Pamper your body with products
When you are ready to leave the bath, it’s now time to pamper your whole body with some products. After all, smoothing your body with body lotion will moisturize your skin. And it might be dehydrated if you haven’t been drinking much water recently. You could also use some form of skin butter which will ensure dry skin stays away. It is particularly important during this cold season when you are likely to get dry skin. And then you might want to use some form of leave-in hair treatment to ensure you have luscious hair.

Give yourself a hand massage
While you are at the spa, it’s common for you to have a hand massage. After all, it can release any tension in your hands which you might have after a busy week. But rather than having to rely on a specialist at the spa, there are some ways you can give your hands some love at home. Get some hand cream and then start with one hand by massaging the fingers. You can then slowly work down the fingers and then start massaging the palm by using small circular movements. Spend more time on areas of your hand that feels like they are holding tension. You can then move onto the other hand to ensure both are shown some love. You can also watch this video for more tips on giving yourself a hand massage. Remember after massaging the hands, cut your nails and add some cute polish so that they look fabulous.

Show your feet some love
As well as your hands, your feet need some love too. After all, they have the huge pressure of being walked on all week. And being in shoes can also have an impact on your favourite tootsies. Therefore, it’s time to let them relax when you are having a spa day at home. For one thing, now would be a good idea to get a foot spa out if you have one at home. A lot of people have one sitting in a cupboard and barely use it. But it’s a great way to massage your feet without having to do it yourself. If you don’t have one of these, you could always give your feet a massage by hand. Wash your feet first to remove any grime, and then use the creams to give your feet some love. And once you have finished giving them some love, you should put them in a cozy pair of slippers to ensure they stay cozy and warm.

Make your own infused water
One of my favorite things about going to the spa is the delicious water they serve there. The fruity concoction is always so refreshing and does wonders for your skin. And the infused water is great to detox your body and get your digestion working properly. But it doesn’t have to be something you just consume at the spa. If you look on http://thealternativedaily.com/3-fat-flushing-infused-water-recipes/, you can find some great infused water recipes which you can easily make at home. And then you can give your body a detox without even leaving the house. As well as boosting your metabolism, it’s also ideal to lose some weight. After all, it fills you up and will stock you picking at food for the rest of the day!

Bring the steam room to your home
A lot of people make the most of the sauna and steam room when they are at the spa. After all, both of these are fantastic for your skin and overall health. But while you might not be lucky enough to have one of these in your home, you can get a facial steamer you can use in your home. You just fill it with water and then let your face get steaming. It’s ideal for unblocking your pores and leaving you with clearer skin. In fact, you will feel like you have been in the steam room at the spa. You can look online such as on https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dbeauty&field-keywords=face+steamers to find great face steamers you can buy for your home.

Put on a relaxing CD
When you are at the spa, you will listen to relaxing music while you are chilling out and getting your treatments. After all, it can help your body to relax, and it calms your mind. Therefore, you should recreate this chilled out atmosphere in the comfort of your home. You should buy a relaxing CD or stream some music which has a relaxing feel. It will help you to calm your mind and feel more relaxed while having a spa day at home. And remember to light some candles to create a relaxing atmosphere too. You might want to go for scented candles which can help to ease any stress you are feeling.

And once you have pampered your body, you should start reading a book for an hour or two. After all, it’s good to chill out before you have to go back to your real life.
