Chopsuey Recipe for Picky Eater Kids #PorkSavor

Whenever I serve veggies, duck faces are very familiar around the dining table. Yup, they are some sort of picky eaters when it comes to veggies. Although sometimes, I can make them eat veggies without bribing. But the thing is, they don't enjoy their foods.

That is one big challenge for a mom like me who likes to see her kids enjoy the food and see smiles on their faces at each bite.

One of the best approach I learned is never pressure the kids and serve a variety of brightly colored foods. And also, to achieve the taste that kids would love, use a seasoning that can help bring out the tastiness of my home-cooked dishes.

This time, I will try to involve this new seasoning that I recently discovered, Ajinomoto Pork Savor. It is very cheap, priced at Php2.00/sachet.

PORKSAVOR™ All-in-One Seasoning Mix is made from natural pork meat extract and bone broth, complete with spices and seasonings to bring out the deliciousness of home-cooked dishes.

Let me share how I cook my Special Chopsuey:

Ingredients:
6 cloves garlic, diced
2 onions, diced
2 carrots, sliced thinly
1/4 kilo cauliflower, break into bite size
1/4 kilo string beans
1/4 kilo snow peas
1/4 kilo cabbage, chopped
2 stalks celery, cut into 2 inches long pieces
1 cup chicken stock
3 tablespoons of cooking oil
2 tablespoons of flour, dissolved in water
2 tablespoons of fish sauce
15 pieces quail eggs, boiled
1/4 kilo of Chicken Gizzard
1 sachet of Ajinomoto Pork Savor

Ingredients

Procedure:

  1. Simmer chicken gizzard
  2. In a pan, sauté garlic, onions then add in the chicken gizzard.
  3. Get your sachet of Ajinomoto Pork Savor and add half of the content.
  4. Set aside when chicken gizzard is cooked.
  5. Add cooking oil to the pan.
  6. Mix in all the vegetables. Add the dissolved cornstarch.
  7. Add the remaining Ajinomoto Pork Savor.
  8. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the vegetables are done.
  9. Add salt and pepper according to taste.
  10. Transfer to a clean plate/bowl.
  11. Top with boiled quail eggs.
  12. Serve hot with rice.

And here's how my dish turned out, Tadaaaa!

"Where are you, picky eaters??? It's already lunch time!"

And since the kids also like boiled quail eggs, I added some on top of my Chopsuey. One way to make kids eat vegetables is to include something they really love to eat.

I am so happy that this time, my kids enjoy my home cooked veggies. I see that they love the taste and requested to cook it again on Sunday. Surprisingly, they almost lick the plate clean! Thanks to Ajinomoto Pork Savor, my secret ingredient!

No more picky eaters in the house :)
