Four Ways To Use Toy Cars In Educational Games

Image
If your little one is anything like mine, they love toy cars! But did you know that you can use their favourite toy vehicle as an educational activity as well? Try out some of my ideas below. Firstly a bit about toy vehicles. Your child may already have their own favourites, there are lots of brands and franchises out there. If they don't, consider the classics like police cars, fire engines and buses. Other good options include accurate replicas like dinky trucks and build your own kits available from Lego. Whichever one you pick, make sure that they are suitable for your child’s age.

Easy Easter Kids' Craft

Easter Egg projects are one of my kids’ fave to do. Last year, they painted Easter eggs, but this year I decided to make it different. As much as my kids enjoy painting eggs, trying out something new boosts creativity and encourages learning. Preparation as well as the entire project is easy.

Easy Easter Toddler Activity

Image
More than the essence of the celebration, Easter has always been exciting to kids. I can't explain but there is really something in painted eggs that makes them happy. For Easter, I came up a simple activity for my toddler.  Preparation: I googled for images and printed them out on a sheet of bond paper and cut them out. Second, I also cut a crack to half each of the eggs then pasted the half of each on a clean white paper.

iStoryBooks: Storybook App for Kids

Image
Storytelling is one of our favorite bonding moments with kids every night before bed or even during siesta. The kids enjoy it so much, that they always remind me of what story to tell even we already gone through all on each their storybooks thousand times! Most of their books are worn out already sign of overuse. So I went again to bookstore last week yet they don’t have new story books available, yeah not lucky enough. I really wanted a new set of story books to share to my kids so I tried to search online for ebooks. I don’t know why that came out as an idea, also that was my first time to search for kids story ebook since I find it boring for them if the stories wouldn’t have colorful pictures per page, too.

Great Ideas For Crafting With Your Kids

Image
Image source Flickr.com Mommies love to make and do as much as kids do, but sometimes it can be really hard to organize these kinds of activity at home. As children get older, it can get more difficult to find the time and resources to let our kids’ imagination run wild through their creativity. You might feel that schools are spending more time on coding and not enough on arts and crafts these days. If you feel you have a budding artist in the making, here are some great ways to let them explore that side of their character at home:

K5 Learning Assessment Review

Image
Last month, I published a post that my son is going to take the K5 learning program . My son was so excited that he started to try the program right away.  Since it requires him to use the computer, I allow him to use my desktop two hours everyday. While taking the lessons, he is very serious in reading and at answering each  questions at the end of each lessons. I have noticed, he likes the spelling so much.
