(Photo source ) School is out for the weekend. But what should you do with the little ones? It’s time to come up with some fun and creative ways to keep your little monsters entertained for the next couple of days. Of course, there is weekend homework to do, but it is still important to plan fun activities for the rest of the weekend. Otherwise, your child may end up plopping in front of the television or computer screen and staying there all weekend .

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and one of the fun and easiest project for kids to do is Valentines card. Here is one of the Valentines card my kids made yesterday. I am not sure who the recipient of this card is gonna be but this looks so cute to receive. I like to see my kids doing art projects because this is how I see the creativity each of them conveys. This time, my toddler was not able to join his elder brother because he is not feeling well.

Puzzles - one best way to introduce learning to a child. I remember my childhood days, I love puzzles because it helps set goals to accomplish. I felt like I was the happiest lil girl on earth whenever I finish puzzles. Today, I am sharing one of my favorite activity to give my son which encourages learning, Popscicle Stick Puzzle.

   Last month, I published a post that my son is going to take the K5 learning program . My son was so excited that he started to try the program right away.  Since it requires him to use the computer, I allow him to use my desktop two hours everyday. While taking the lessons, he is very serious in reading and at answering each  questions at the end of each lessons. I have noticed, he likes the spelling so much. 

One of the activities kids love doing is painting. I couldn't agree more on that because I remember with my eldest ever since 'toddlerhood', he has been drawn to watercolors. He loves to color just anything and I remember my wall was bombarded with his drawings which I had hard time removing.

When teaching kids, I realized the importance not let the child feel pressured and just let them learn organically instead. As both of my kids grow up, I try my best to incorporate the teaching on our usual activities that we do in a daily basis to make the learning fun and also allows them to learn through simple things.

  I am putting up and collecting different learning activities for my kiddos and this one is one of the bunch.  This is a simple activity to introduce shapes to kids.

  I was wondering why my son asked for some egg shells. It never registered to me that he will make an Easter project. It's probably because this is the very first time he will do an activity of egg painting for the Easter.

How is your week everyone? I pray everyone is safe. It has been raining for a week now because of the typhoon and classes were all suspended. It is a long vacation for students, which really makes my son feel bad.  He loves school so much, He misses everything about school, the activities, fun and his classmates.
