A Quick View of My Blogging Camera Fujifilm Finepix JX660

A blogger needs a decent camera that captures pretty good photos. Sometimes in blogs and articles, its the photos that captures reader's interests first before the blog post itself. I remember when I was starting in blogging, I only use camera phone in taking photos for my product reviews. Then, I told myself one day, I will be able to get myself a new point and shoot digital camera which I can use during events and to take photos of products I review.

In buying a digital camera, the factors I consider are:

  • It doesn't need to be expensive, as long as it can take good quality photos.
  • Ability to film a good quality video since I do vlog sometimes.
  • Gives detailed shot even when zoomed in.
  • Suitable for shooting a moving subject.
  • Handy and not heavy.
  • Affordable, not expensive but good quality.
  • User-friendly and easy to navigate.
  • Capability to focus accurately for taking photos and recording videos.

To be honest, I am not knowledgeable enough about digital camera features. The only time I will be particular about the settings, features , etc of a certain unit is only by the time I lay my hands on it.

I visited a local photo studio that also sells different camera units. I was able to pick Fujifilm Finepix JX660. I am happy that all the factors I mentioned above are packed in this digital camera which I bought for only P4,200.00. It comes with free camera case, mini tripod and a cute shopping bag.

Package contents:
Digital Camera Finepix JX660
Rechargeable Battry NP-45B
AC Power adapter
Hand strap
USB Cable
CD-ROM (manual and application software)

Here are the sample shots:

It is a great buy indeed! 16MP digital camera with 5x optical zoom lens. Approx. 7.2x (up to approx. 36.0x, with 5x optical zoom)Approx. 7.2x (up to approx. 36.0x, with 5x optical zoom). The instruction manual is very useful. Face Detection, Photobook assist, Image search, Erase selected frames, Slide show, Protect, Crop, Resize, Image rotate, Mark for upload, Multi-frame playback (with Microthumbnail), Motion Panorama, Favorite, Movie edit.

It is sleek enough that I can easily get a great grip on it and I like how lightweight it is that holding this digital camera won't strain my hands. The size makes it easy to carry around. It has a smooth black finish and looks sturdy. Very easy to navigate and operate, I haven't encountered any issue on this point and shoot camera yet. The battery life span lasts to approximately 170-200 frames. Perfect compact camera on the go. It's not a top of the line camera and there are a lot more better digital camera in the market, but for the price it can't be beat.

  2. The best quality of the photos camera does (with small noticeable noise) at ISO 64 100. The difference in the noise on these values is minimal. I always do some editing, here are good plugins http://hdreditingsoftware.com/ for Photoshop
